Description
Whether you’re a Main Street storefront, a downtown hotel, or a mid-sized manufacturer, we’re all in the business of customer service. And all of the great marketing in the world won’t make a bit of difference if your customer does not have an exceptional experience in your destination, at your business or in your region. The Department of Tourism wants to help businesses be the best they can be in all of their customer interactions.
The program is designed for front-line staff, management, business owners, and residents – anyone who works with the public and wants to make a positive and lasting impression with both customers and visitors.
Designed in modules, the training will be offered as a 90-minute session covering:
We can’t promote Wisconsin as a FUN and inviting destination unless we can guarantee excellent customer service with all of our interactions with guests.
The Whitewater Area Chamber of Commerce, Discover Whitewater, and the SweetSpot Bakehouse are excited to welcome David Spiegelberg, the Wisconsin Department of Tourism’s Regional Tourism Specialist, to Whitewater for this event. David came to the Department from the National Park Service where he coordinated volunteer activities in Yosemite National Park in the late 1990s. He started his tenure at the Department of Tourism in 1994 – managing a state travel information office and coordinating and supervising the Department’s consumer trade show program.
David currently works as a liaison between the agency and the tourism and hospitality industry in eastern Wisconsin. David works with partners on tourism assessment projects, customer service training, marketing and promotion ideas, grants, and other projects related to increasing, improving and advancing tourism and hospitality in Wisconsin.
