Veteran and Family Members Education Fair

UW-Whitewater wins grant to help veterans: Veteran & Family Members Education Fair One obstacle veterans and their family members face is navigating the bureaucracy of higher education, where career information, advising, admissions, and benefits can all be available in different offices with different people on different days. To help solve this problem, UW-Whitewater was awarded a $5000 grant from the Wisconsin Department of Veterans Affairs to host a multi-institutional education fair that will take place June 5, 10-3, in the Ballroom of the James R. Connor University Center. The event will feature onsite benefits applications, free onsite career interest inventories, jobs outlook information, advising, free financial planning applications, and onsite admissions application for UW-Whitewater, UW-Rock County, and Blackhawk Technical College. Free parking is available at the Visitor Center at 826 Starin Road.
