608-577-8220 Whitewater’s Landmarks Ordinance again needs your support! And protection! This coming Tuesday, Oct 3, from 6:00 PM on. 1. Please join us at a public rally on the sidewalk in front of City Hall in advance of this coming Tuesday's Common Council meeting. The rally will run from 6:00 PM until c. 6:25 PM. Council starts their meeting at 6:30. Signs will be provided. Or make your own. 2. Then, please also attend the Council meeting. And, consider speaking publicly during the portion of the meeting allotted to this issue. (see potential talking points below) The issue being protested is a proposed Landmarks ordinance (1st reading) proposed by Christopher Grady) (( Aldermanic District 3 (Wards 3, 4 & 9))) which reads, "The Common Council of the City of Whitewater may, at any time, by a majority of those members voting, rescind a landmarks designation for any City of Whitewater owned landmark."Date and Time
