Experience the innovative ways Wisconsin's earliest pioneers got things done! Make rope by hand with a wheel and exel; learn about moving heavy loads with a fulcrum and lever; work with wood tools like a schnitzelbank, hand drill and plane; and watch a blacksmith use molecular changes to shape iron! Enjoy several free hands-on activities on The Green and then explore the full 500 acre museum (with paid admission) where you can see Pioneer Power in Action. From dyeing wool with plants to cooking over a fire, from the forge to the barnyard - science is everywhere in Wisconsin history!
