Using real-world examples and videos, students learn the why and how of becoming a leader who can navigate even the most difficult of assignments. By focusing on improving certainty, autonomy, and relatedness, leaders learn how to have effective conversations to address the personal and professional problems they encounter. Emotional Intelligence provides an understanding of how harnessing emotions leads to a stronger, more effective command and control, both on the fireground and in the firehouse. Be prepared to laughin this class (including at yourself) while we promote leadership competency, not it celebrity.
