October 10, 2014: Arts Law Conversations with Elizabeth Russell Arts attorney and author Elizabeth Russell will address legal issues confronting arts entrepreneurs. Topics include: copyright notice and registration, licensing music for public performance, owning the piece as opposed to owning the copyright, how to get sued for using people in your art, non-profit doesn’t mean tax exempt, and many more. The event runs from 1:00 pm – 4:00 pm and will be held in Room 105 of the Whitewater University Technology Park Innovation Center. This is a free event and open to the public, but advance ticketing is required. Call 262-472-2222 to reserve a ticket.
