Description
This exhibit showcases Indigenous applique art that celebrates the resilience, resistance, and healing of Indigenous peoples. Through textiles, the artist raises awareness about issues like the Missing and Murdered Indigenous Relatives (MMIR) movement and Indian Residential Schools. Each piece tells a story of strength and the enduring spirit of Indigenous communities.
Please join us for the reception on Tuesday, September 17 from 6-8 pm. The artist talk begins at 6 pm in Summers Auditorium, with light refreshments following at 7 pm in Roberta's Art Gallery.
