"Ofrenda de Día de Muertos" Exhibit Ends

Description

The last day to view the "Ofrenda de Día de Muertos" exhibit in Roberta's Art Gallery is November 2. This exhibit is in collaboration with Latinos Unidos and UWW Spanish Club.

Día de Muertos is an indigenous tradition that has blended with beliefs brought by the Spaniards from Europe. On this holiday, the souls of departed loved ones visit and are nurtured by the food and drinks arranged in offerings.

Throughout Mexico, families assembled altars known as "las ofrendas" or "offerings" to warmly welcome back the souls of the departed.
