KEMPA Journalism Camp

KEMPA Journalism Camp is designed for high school students interested in media. Four days of invigorating workshops cover broadcasting, writing, sports media, and photojournalism. Campers will be in the middle of the action with award-winning professionals who will provide a constructive critique of their school publication and personal portfolio. Work in state-of-the-art studios and labs as well as outdoors across the campus. Inspiring, informative Time Talks discussions will get attendees excited about the media! Nightly excursions feature trips to the campus swimming pool, bowling lanes, athletic facilities, and movie theater. Campers can also compete for fun prizes in the annual KEMPA Cup. Enjoy nights with friends in the dorms or just come for the daytime. Campers will get a t-shirt, meals, and swag! UW-Whitewater has a large campus located in the southeastern rolling hills of Wisconsin about an hour from Madison, Milwaukee, and Chicago. Campers can expect stringent health and safety guidelines and a safe environment. This camp is available to students entering grades 9-12 in the fall who are interested in media.
