Who are the Supremes? A Discussion of the Lives of Supreme Court Justices

The Supreme Court has worked to perpetuate the mysterious nature of judicial decision making and the work of its justices. Informal rules dictate that the justices rarely speak to the press about their work or political preferences. Yet Supreme Court justices are people with hobbies, interests, and fascinating histories. This lecture explores the lives of some of the most influential justices throughout time.

Presented by Monica Lineberger, Assistant Professor, Political Science.

2022 Spring Lecture Series

Since 1983, UW-Whitewater faculty and staff from the Whitewater and Janesville campuses, along with area business and community leaders, have been presenting multi-disciplinary lectures to thousands of lifelong learners. Continuing Education partners with Fairhaven Senior Services to host the lectures during the academic year.

Lectures in the Spring 2022 series will be held on Mondays at 3 p.m. in the Fellowship Hall of Fairhaven Senior Services, 435 West Starin Road, Whitewater and are only open to residents of Fairhaven. Lectures will be recorded and posted to our website and YouTube channel. Videos of lectures in this series and in past series can be accessed for free any time after they are posted online.
