As their husbands\, sons\, and brothers took up arms with British soldiers\, women were left to negotiate the harsh realities of war. While some struggled to put food on the table and care for their children\, others seized the opportunity to exert their own independence. These varied experiences represent the many ways in which negotiated the war at home.\n\n \n\nPresented by Kimberly Nath\, Associate Professor\, History\n\n \n\nSpring 2022 Lecture Series\n\nPoliticians\, activists\, musicians\, and every day citizens. Systems\, inventions\, and tragedies. This spring\, we will spend an hour each week\, putting the spotlight on changemakers that have made history.
