Join our soldiers and get a taste of what Civil War camp life was really like. Muster in, drill with members of the infantry, visit the surgeon's tent, sample a soldier's rations, meet the cavalry members and their horses, give the watchwords, go on a scavenger hunt, and experience a little of life on the home front, too. This is not a battlefield reenactment, but a chance for you and your family to get up close and experience the action of daily camp life as a member of the Midwest's famed Iron Brigade. Adults (13-64) $19; children (4-12) $10 (children under 4 are free); students (18 and older with school ID) and senior citizens (65 and over) $16. Fees include an all-day tram transportation pass.
